If you have the power, and the dough, go bigger, but if you have a 1927 house like me, with 120 wiring, its a good machine. One thing you can try is turn the igntion switch towards the run postion stopping just short of activating the electronics.Then try and move shifter to neutral then you can start it and out it into gear so you can drive it to get it fixed.Re: sp 125 plus and aluminum. A 120V MIG welder turned all the way up will put out about 90A at 18V, around 1600W. Mar 23, 2017 · Do this, you have to the wire back on to the reel. Once the gun is off, take a small piece of mig wire, bent into a u shape and poke it into the two gun switch cables. This will bridge the switch circuit and make the welder feed. If it works, the problem is the gun, (tip, liner) and if it doesnt, the issue is somewhere else in your machine. .
