The issues I describe below seem to have started this morning when I turned off all my favorites lists, except for two digital trunked systems (one of which I reprogrammed last night). The newer SDS100/200 models are basically programmed and work the same way as the 436/536 models with a few extra features. That's the weird thing, I unplugged the SDS100 and used the new cable instead of the one that came with the SDS100. I've never had the computer try to install a new driver in the many times I've disconnected the scanner and reconnected it, (except on the original install).One can get ostracized quickly with the audio from a SDS100. People tend to shy away. In similar gatherings, the BCD325P2 is deemed not as offensive. That works if you are picking a specific choice, such as Normal, Wide Invert, Global, etc. But if you are using Auto, the display only shows "Auto", not which choice it found was the best match. However, after a couple lengthy trips to Uniden Repair, I was given a factory refurbished unit as a replacement to my original. The factory refurb unit exhibits none of the original VHF/UHF issues.The refurb unit is actually better than my x36 ... Feb 18, 2020 · The REM-820S is an SMA mount designed specifically for use with the SDS100. It will fully seat on the scanner, and has an o-ring to maintain the weather resistance of the scanner. Both fully charged and locked onto one TG, the G5 lasted 20.5 hours, while the SDS lasted 8 hours. G5 screen timeout set to 45 seconds and SDS100 set to 10 seconds. Normally, they should last a least a few weeks to a few months if the main battery is dead. If the main battery is dead I've had mine work fine 6mo+ later. Your battery could just have lost it's charge most likely. Oct 31, 2021 · That's the weird thing, I unplugged the SDS100 and used the new cable instead of the one that came with the SDS100. They work great on simulcast systems while other radios will have difficulties. Arrived on time, in new condition, all was well. Functionality of this scanner is fantastic. Programming is a breeze. Handles simulcast better than any other scanner out there. Speaker could be improved but its performance is acceptable. .
