Theres a thread on here that Lakeside53 did on modding the 361 muffler. See if you can find it. It's an easy mod and works pretty good. Me, I like to uncrimp the muffler and pull the whole baffle system out of the muffler.The difference in gauge is .008" obviously enough. This is how it works on cable driven tachometers on tractors. So to put 2000 hours on a chainsaw it would have to run at its rated RPM for 2000 hours. I figure a chainsaws rated RPM is full throttle. Since chainsaws are not run wide open all the time it take more than 2000 hours to put 2000 hours of engine time on.

Husqvarna 350 Mitt: I have been using a 350 for about 9 years now, I did major opening of the muffler, threw away the carb limits retuned the carb and it is a great little saw. As long as you take care of them they will last you a long time as a homeowner use saw.
