We were immediately given a glass of champagne and proceeded to check in with Timothy at the front desk, where he greeted us with the warmest, kindest smile. We actually like the Marriott better than the Ritz, because the pools are better and room upgrades have proven to be much easier. I know many others share my opinion on this. The Ritz is generally more expensive than the Marriott, especially when booked in advance. Demand at the Marriott often pushes their rates higher than the Ritz on shorter ...3. If I remember correctly, it required a room reservation confirmation number. The price then was $400 per day.Unless you have an ocean front room at the Ritz Grand Cayman, you have to walk a long way to the ocean. The Ritz Aruba, every room is on the water and the resort was built in 2013 so it’s fairly new. If the Grand Cayman is the place you want, check out the Kimpton. Prices are about the same and much newer hotel.We actually like the Marriott better than the Ritz, because the pools are better and room upgrades have proven to be much easier.
